The Blue Kite Shelter

Derived from the TRIANGLE, the BLUE KITE is a GEOMETRIC EXPRESSION in CONCRETE that reflects the VIBRANT BACKDROP of JODHPUR. The CONCRETE employed allows for a FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION with the FORM. After a lot of calvin and hobbes facial studies..i finally did this strip for that special someone (the one sitting on the well..and yes that guy in the goofy yellow tee is me).Bill Watterson is a legend.I began to comprehend now the sheer genius of art 'Calvin and Hobbes' is; that i grew up on.I would add the rough step-by-step process but that would be unfair to this as a present.Get something straight: im in NO way demeaning watterson(i didnt even credit myself in the strip if you notice) and this strip is to just show my love for his whole work and the person whom this is meant for.Traditionally pencilled and inked..grayscale and colours in photoshop.
